35th Annual RPTE National CLE Conference

ArentFox Schiff attorney Kristin Niver will be serving as program chair and moderator of the Real Property Division Lunch and CLE Program ticketed event on Friday, May 12 on the “The Amazon Effect: Amazon HQ2’s Effect on Affordable Housing in the D.C. Metro.”  This panel will include opening remarks by Damon Smith, General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), followed by a Q&A session with Senthil Sankaran of the Amazon Housing Equity Fund, Phuc Tran of Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners, Anne Venezia, Arlington County Housing Director, Priya Jayachandran, CEO of the National Housing Trust, and Liz Price of the Washington Metro Transportation Authority (WMATA).  In this session, the panelists will discuss affordable housing projects supported by the Amazon Housing Equity Fund in the D.C. Metro to examine the role mega-corporations like Amazon should play in affordable housing finance generally as it relates to the future of public sector programs in the form of tax credits, grant programs, housing choice vouchers, and housing trust funds.
