6th National Conference on CFIUS

The event was hosted by the American Conference Institute on July 15 – 16, 2020. Participants in the conference “gained critical insights” on a variety of CFIUS-related topics, including the foreign investment screening process, implementation of the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act, and compliance issues. Dave’s panel was titled “CFIUS’s New Reach Over Real Estate Transactions,” and his presentation highlighted recent changes to CFIUS’s regulations and its expanded jurisdiction over real estate transactions. He was joined by a number of government and industry players including the Associate General Counsel (Acquisition & Logistics) for the US Department of Defense and the Senior Vice President of The Real Estate Roundtable.
