Rachel Bryan

Rachael has experience assisting clients on a variety of litigation matters in various stages of litigation. Her work includes helping with large scale discovery, deposition and trial preparation, and writing memoranda for summary judgment motions and motions to dismiss. Rachael approaches her cases with a close attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to excellence.

Professional Activities

Pro Bono

Rachael has a passion for using her skills to assist those in need of legal assistance. Since joining ArentFox Schiff, Rachael provides services through the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and has successfully represented clients in child support disputes and contested divorces. Through her work with the National Immigrant Justice Center, Rachael won asylum for two clients and their children from Cote d’Ivoire.  Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Rachael was a Fellow with the Public Interest Law Initiative where she worked with the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian, Juvenile Division. Rachael presented at a permanency hearing for two youths and drafted a substantive motion relating to a youth who was being held at a psychiatric hospital beyond medical necessity.

Recognitions

During law school, Rachael was a Chicago-Kent Law Review Notes and Comments Editor and on the Executive Board for the Women-In-Law Society. Rachael earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for the highest grade in Legal Writing and Trial Advocacy II.
