Clea advises both investors and fund sponsors in connection with the formation and operation of private investment funds, working alongside institutional investors and private individuals. With her corporate clients, Clea has experience in corporate governance matters, due diligence reviews, and the drafting and negotiation of transaction documents across a variety of deal types.
Prior to joining the firm, Clea served as an Edward Coles Summer Fellow with the Illinois Human Rights Commission, where she researched and drafted recommendations to assist Commissioners in resolving discrimination appeals. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and worked in advertising as a copywriter prior to her life in the law. This training underpins her clear, concise approach to advocacy and client communication.
Life Beyond the Law
Outside of work, Clea is an enthusiastic patron of Chicago’s performing arts scene. When she’s not at a show, she’s talking about the next one over a great meal.
