Kalvin Guyer

Kalvin is an associate in ArentFox Schiff’s New York office. Drawing on both judicial and private-sector experience, Kalvin advises clients on a range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters. His background includes litigation, regulatory, and compliance work.

Professional Activities

Kalvin serves as Secretary to the Young Lawyer’s Committee of the Texas State Bar, Bankruptcy Section.

Since 2024, Kalvin has served as an assistant moot court coach for the Texas A&M University School of Law bankruptcy moot court team. The team competes in the annual Conrad B. Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition, has won multiple regional titles, and won 1st place in the 33rd Duberstein competition in 2025. 

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Kalvin gained experience across litigation, government, and financial services settings. Notably, he worked as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Sean H. Lane, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York and to the Hon. Eduardo V. Rodriguez, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Texas.

Life Beyond the Law

Outside of work, Kalvin is an avid fan of the New York Mets, the New York Knicks, and Texas A&M. He enjoys playing the violin, Southern BBQ, and spending time with his goldendoodle, Pete.
