Neil advises public educational agencies on employment, governance, contractual, and investigative matters.

Neil represents school districts and county offices of education in a wide range of general education matters. He advises educational institutions on employment issues involving certificated and classified employees, drafts and reviews contracts for district programs, revises board policies and administrative regulations, and provides support during investigative processes.

Drawing on his experience in education, corporate governance, litigation, and intellectual property, Neil provides practical and comprehensive guidance tailored to the needs of public educational agencies and institutions.

Previous Work

Prior to joining the firm, Neil represented Southern California school districts and county offices of education in general education matters, including employment, contracts, board governance, and investigations.

Before practicing law, Neil worked as an intellectual property paralegal at a major law firm, where he helped businesses procure, enforce, and transact in copyrights and trademarks domestically and internationally. During law school, he further developed his intellectual property experience as a legal intern with The Walt Disney Company’s copyright group.

Neil is fluent in French and has taught French-language courses at the university level. His interdisciplinary background in law, global studies, and French studies informs his thoughtful approach to advising clients.
