Reed’s practice focuses on the advising of national telecom companies, including the acquisition of telecom properties across the U.S. His experience encompasses a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, sales and leases. He also advises on title and easement issues and assists in conducting due diligence for property acquisitions. Reed’s expert counsel includes the review of title commitments, surveys, construction drawings, documents in virtual data rooms, and use of online sources in creative analyses of title issues and proposals of curative action, and the preparation of deeds, easements, leases, consents, estoppels, affidavits and other documents for closing.
Before joining ArentFox Schiff, Reed served as Counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group at Thompson Hine LLP, and as Of Counsel in the Energy Group at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. Reed has also previously served as Manager, Real Estate Legal Services at BP Amoco (US), and held various in-house attorney positions with other companies.

Client Work
- Assisted with purchases of over 1,000 cell tower sites (lease, easement, fee) in 50 states.
- Prepared legal form documents for oil and gas leases, ratifications and amendments, payment orders, title opinions and curative, purchasing and leasing of gas compressor sites and related easements for gas pipelines.
- Conducted hundreds of mineral title examinations; also, due diligence for multiple acquisitions of mineral titles and leases (over $1 billion total in acquisitions). Accordion Toggle
