ArentFox Schiff’s Chicago Office Unveils Reimagined Space in Willis Tower

ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce that its Chicago office has moved back into its three newly renovated floors in the Willis Tower, located at 233 S. Wacker Drive. By reimagining their original space, the firm maintains its presence in a building it has occupied since the legacy firm Schiff Hardin moved into what was then the newly constructed Sears Tower in 1974. The new office space will accommodate the firm’s approximately 250 employees, with ample room to grow.

“We were eager to remain in the historic Willis Tower, which has been our home for over 50 years, and we could not be more thrilled with how the new space turned out,” said Joe Krasovec, ArentFox Schiff’s Office Managing Partner in Chicago. “Between the innovative technology features, an open floor plan that features sweeping views of the city, many collaboration rooms and event spaces, and even a vinyl record listening room, this new Chicago office is designed to bring our people together and strengthen our relationships with our clients to continue to deliver the highest quality legal services.”

Highlights of the new office – located on floors 72, 73, and 74 of the Willis Tower – include:

  • State-of-the-art conference centers and a boardroom equipped with enhanced technology for seamless collaboration between in-person and remote participants.

  • An interconnecting, spiral staircase between floors 72, 73, and 74.

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows, with a panoramic view of Lake Michigan and tremendous sight lines of Chicago’s skyline.

  • A record listening room where employees can enjoy music while working, unwinding, or meeting with colleagues.

  • All-glass office fronts andan open concept floor plan.

  • An inviting parlor for client events and informal meetings, featuring a bistro-style gathering space and lounge area.

  • A multipurpose room with the capacity to host large gatherings and events.

  • A soundproof, windowless room dedicated to podcasts, hearings, and meetings.

The Chicago office is currently home to nearly 130 attorneys representing virtually every area of law, including antitrust, tax, white collar crime, finance, product liability, intellectual property, energy, labor and employment, mergers and acquisitions, environmental, and trusts and estates.

“Willis Tower (and its previous incarnation as the Sears Tower) is one of the world’s most iconic buildings, and we wanted our new space to reflect the history of this building in its heyday,” said Anthony V. Lupo, Chairman of ArentFox Schiff. “We set out to create something that feels distinctly Chicago and unlike a typical law firm office, with the kind of energy and personality that makes people want to be here. We drew inspiration from the city and places I’ve encountered around the world, creating something with a 1970s Italian Mod style reflecting the iconic history of the building. From the rich woods, marble and warm metals to the dramatic red staircase and record listening room, every detail helps create a space where our clients, attorneys and staff can connect, collaborate and enjoy spending time.”
