Kevin Matz Named to Forbes’ 2026 America’s Best-In-State CPAs List

ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce that Family Office Industry Group Co-Leader Kevin Matz has been named to the Forbes 2026 America’s Best-In-State CPAs list.

Now in its second year, the Forbes America’s Best‑In‑State CPAs list recognizes accomplished certified public accountants (CPAs) in public practice, selected from a national pool of nominees identified through industry outreach, independent nominations, editorial research, and an expert advisory board. Candidates were evaluated using weighted criteria including professional achievements, experience, thought leadership, community involvement, regulatory compliance, and commitment to the profession, with an emphasis on recent accomplishments.

Kevin is a Partner in ArentFox Schiff’s Private Clients, Trusts and Estates Practice Group based in New York City and counsels clients on wealth transfer planning; drafting wills and trusts; gift, estate, income, and generation‑skipping transfer tax planning and tax return preparation; charitable gift planning; probate proceedings and estate administration; and related litigation, as well as corporate counseling. More broadly, Kevin co-leads ArentFox Schiff’s Family Office Industry Group and in this realm advises clients in setting up and administering family offices and in related dynastic planning for wealthy families, and well as in connection with business succession planning. 

Kevin currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. In addition, he is a frequent author and speaker and has been repeatedly recognized by Chambers High Net Worth, The Best Lawyers in America and New York Metro Super Lawyers. Kevin is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), for which he currently serves as chair of ACTEC’s Washington Affairs Committee having previously served as chair of ACTEC’s Business Planning Committee, and moreover is the Chair-Elect of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Law Section. Kevin is also a past chair of the UJA-Federation of New York Trusts and Estates Group and was honored by UJA in 2023 for his leadership and philanthropic contributions to the New York trusts and estates, legal and CPA communities.
