Mike has over 20 years of experience providing legal and business guidance within the alcohol beverage industry in areas including corporate governance, multi-jurisdictional compliance, litigation management, distribution strategies, and merger and acquisition activity. He draws on his in-house counsel background viewing legal and compliance issues through a commercial lens to help alcohol beverage clients navigate complex market dynamics, maintain trade practice compliance, and execute transformative growth strategies.

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Mike was a key executive team member of one of the largest-selling premium spirits makers in the world. He oversaw cross-functional teams including Legal, Human Resources, Public Affairs, and Business Intelligence, managed multi-year litigation matters involving distributor termination and IP infringement, spearheaded route-to-market optimization with distribution partners, and guided the business through import tariffs and market volatility. He led the competitive bid process and subsequent operational integration for a joint venture with one of the fastest-growing premium spirits brands and developed strong relationships with distribution partners, government officials, industry associations, and retail channels.
