2026 CEPC Fundamentals Course

Oliver Merrill will present on the Illinois Trust Code, which provides the “framework” for trust administration.  The presentation will cover mandatory versus default rules under the ITC, and practical implementations and practice tips for trust administration.  Topics will include notices and accountings, the powers and duties of fiduciaries, and methods for modifying irrevocable trusts.  Attendees will gain practical insight into how these rules affect trust administration and estate planning decisions.

Hosted by the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the CEPC Fundamentals Course is a multi‑session educational program designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the core components of trust and estate planning.
