Megan presented at the Eight-Part Business Law Course for Small Business Owners webinar, hosted by the DC Bar Pro Bono Center, DC Department of Small & Local Business Development (DSLBD), and DC Small Business Development Center (DCSBDC). Seminar series participants learned the basics of DC registration & corporate law, employment law, risk management, contracts, government contracting and certification, intellectual property, real estate, and accounting from experienced business attorneys at D.C.’s most prestigious law firms. In “What’s in a Contract and Why,” Megan presented on contract formation and structure and provided tips for avoiding common pitfalls in contract negotiation.
