In this CLE panel, Sylvia and her co-panelists will explore the Information and Communication Technology and Services (ICTS) program, administered by the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), with a focus on its legal authority and new regulatory and policy developments, including the ICTS “Connected Vehicles” regulations. Additionally, the panel will focus on potential areas of future ICTS regulation, emerging policy priorities, and key questions surrounding the interaction between ICTS and related regulatory frameworks, such as FCC requirements and government contracts.
