Stephen and Kevin will review important topics discussed at the recent Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, including: increases in the lifetime exclusion, the Corporate Transparency Act, IRS challenges to grantor retained annuity trusts, proposed IRC Section 2053 regulations, marital deduction planning, split-dollar life insurance, retirement benefits under the Secure Act, and the looming sunset of the 2017 increase in the exclusion and new proposed regulations on clawback.
