Trusts: Confidentiality and Attorney-Client Privilege

Partner Tom Abendroth will lead a panel, including partner Dave Blickenstaff, to examine how to avoid common pitfalls associated with confidentiality and attorney-client privilege with trusts. The panel will discuss the different positions taken by states and courts on who the client is when a lawyer represents a trust. They will also review the duties a lawyer owes to beneficiaries when they are not considered clients.
