ArentFox Schiff Welcomes Real Estate Partner Nicholas M. W. Hoffman in New York
ArentFox Schiff is pleased to announce the addition of Nicholas M. W. Hoffman as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in the New York office. Nick brings more than 25 years of experience structuring and closing complex financing transactions.
Nick has led complex real estate financing transactions across the capital stack, representing lenders and investors in multimillion‑ and billion‑dollar mortgage, mezzanine, preferred equity, and construction financings for major banks, private equity funds, and REITs. He also advises clients on high‑stakes restructurings and workouts, including large‑scale portfolio financings and distressed debt matters, with notable experience guiding stakeholders through sophisticated syndicated, historic tax credit, and PACE‑related structures.

Prior to his legal career, Nick was a senior executive at a Manhattan-based real estate developer. His dual background gives him strategic understanding of market dynamics and business considerations of his clients, allowing him to guide them through intricate financing scenarios with efficiency and commercial insight
Nick joins the firm from Haynes Boone LLP. He is a frequent speaker at the annual NY iGlobal Summits, which have been bringing together institutional investors, asset managers, and private equity leaders for almost 30 years, and has been a guest lecturer at the prestigious Shack Institute of Real Estate at New York University.
