ArentFox Schiff Represents Brand Street Properties in $125 Million Deer Park Town Center Acquisition
ArentFox Schiff represented Brand Street Properties in the formation of a joint venture with an affiliate of AEW Capital Management and the acquisition and financing by the joint venture of Deer Park Town Center, a premier open-air retail destination in Deer Park, Illinois. The transaction had a purchase price of $125 million.
The acquisition represents one of the largest retail real estate transactions in the Chicago metropolitan area in recent years. Media coverage of the acquisition was featured in The Real Deal, Bisnow, New York Real Estate Journal, Crain’s Chicago Business, and Daily Herald.
The approximately 410,000-square-foot retail center is located at the intersection of Rand Road and Long Grove Road in Deer Park, about 35 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Deer Park Town Center is home to a mix of nationally recognized retailers and dining destinations, including Apple, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Lululemon, Anthropologie, Sephora, Warby Parker, and Century Theatres.
