Jim focuses his practice on representing owners, REITs, joint ventures, investors, lenders, and others in the acquisition, financing, leasing, and disposition of real estate in all asset classes. He also regularly assists clients with respect to corporate and financing transactions involving real estate, including energy projects. Jim is also a member of the Japan Team, assisting with real estate related matters for our Japanese clients.

A former licensed commercial real estate broker, Jim recognizes and understands clients’ goals from both a legal and business perspective.

Client Work

  • Represented a REIT in the refinancing ($225MM) of industrial assets located in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.

  • Represented a life insurance company with respect to a mortgage loan ($115MM) secured by a hotel located in Houston, Texas.

  • Represented a not-for-profit with respect to the acquisition of land and financing ($53MM) of the development of a skilled nursing home facility.
