Health Care Partner Hillary Stemple presented to eye and vision care providers about co-management compliance at the Kentucky Optometric Association’s Annual Meeting on April 21.
Hillary’s presentation covered the compliance risks associated with co-management of ophthalmology patients. She discussed ways to structure compliant co-management programs and the Anti-Kickback Statute and False Claims Act implications of improperly structured co-management arrangements, and provided an illustrative overview of an ongoing Anti-Kickback Statute/False Claims Act case alleging improper co-management of patients.
