International Trade & Investment Partner, Megan Barnhill, and Senior Associate, Mario Torrico, will speak at the 3rd International Trade Compliance Forum, Is Geopolitics the New Driving Force Behind International Trade? Risks and Strategies in the New Global Balance of Power, taking place November 12-13, 2026, in Milan, Italy.

The two-day program will bring together international trade compliance practitioners, government officials, and industry professionals to examine how geopolitical developments are reshaping international trade. Discussions will address economic sanctions, export controls, strategic technologies, customs reform, supply chain risk, and the evolving regulatory landscape across the United States, European Union, and China.

On November 12, Megan will participate in a workshop titled “US Sanctions: The Current State of Play in the Trump 2.0 Era with Regard to Iran, Russia and Cuba.” The session will take place as part of the Forum’s afternoon parallel workshops focused on emerging international trade and compliance challenges.

On November 13, Mario will join a workshop titled “After the Tariff War: The New Trade (Im)Balance Between the United States, the European Union and China.” The panel will examine the changing trade relationship among three of the world’s largest markets against the backdrop of shifting international trade dynamics.
