ArentFox Schiff Advises Choice Hotels International in $130 Million Acquisition of Harvest Hosts
ArentFox Schiff advised Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, in its all-cash acquisition of Harvest Hosts, a membership company for RV travelers. The deal is valued at about $130 million. Choice acquired 100% of Harvest Hosts from Stripes, a growth equity firm based in New York, and other shareholders.
The acquisition takes Choice’s long-standing focus on value-conscious travelers into the fast-growing outdoor and RV travel market. Media coverage of the acquisition was featured in Hotel Dive, CoStar, Hotel Management, and LODGING Magazine.
Harvest Hosts connects RV travelers with overnight stays at more than 11,200 host locations, including wineries, farms, breweries and museums. It will continue to operate as a standalone business under its existing brand, with Joel Holland staying on as CEO.
