ArentFox Schiff Represents BUNN in Acquisition by Ali Group

ArentFox Schiff served as legal adviser to BUNN, formerly known as Bunn-O-Matic Corporation, in the company’s acquisition by Ali Group, a global leader in the foodservice equipment industry.

BUNN joined Ali Group’s global portfolio and will operate as part of the Welbilt® portfolio in North America. The deal was completed on March 12. 

BUNN was founded in Springfield as a grocery store in 1840 by Jacob Bunn. The company grew into a wholesale grocer, and, in 1963, Bunn-O-Matic Corporation became its own separate entity in the beverage dispensing equipment business, specializing in home and commercial coffee machines.

The Ali Group is a Chicago-headquartered global corporation overseeing more than 115 global brands with operations in over 30 countries. Through its subsidiaries, the company designs, manufactures, markets and services a broad line of commercial and institutional foodservice equipment used by major restaurant and hotel chains, independent restaurants, hospitals, schools, airports, correctional institutions and canteens.
