ArentFox Schiff Secures Third Win for STIIIZY in Long-Running Patent Dispute With PAX
ArentFox Schiff secured another victory for STIIIZY in an expedited Rule 177 proceeding before US Customs and Border Patrol, where PAX alleged infringement of four patents covering leak-resistant vaporizer cartridges.
After adopting STIIIZY’s proposed claim construction for the term “cartridge,” CBP found that STIIIZY’s new Palmheld vaporizer did not infringe any of the 19 patent claims asserted by PAX, clearing the Palmheld for importation and sale in the United States.
The decision follows two other favorable rulings ArentFox Schiff obtained for STIIIZY in May and June 2026. The May ruling cleared STIIIZY’s redesigned cartridge, while the June ruling cleared STIIIZY’s redesigned all-in-one device.
The AFS litigation team was led by Ehsun Forghany and included Simon F. Kung and Nicole Lynch. Aram Ordubegian advises STIIIZY on commercial matters and manages the client relationship.
