Kate represents providers, real estate investment trusts, private equity investors, and other stakeholders on transactional and regulatory matters involving the senior housing industry. Kate advises clients throughout all phases of health care transactions, including structuring deals in compliance with federal and state laws, conducting corporate and regulatory due diligence, negotiating transaction and financing documents, obtaining licensure, and enrolling in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Kate also regularly counsels clients on the development and operation of senior housing properties and other business lines.
Additionally, Kate has experience assisting health care providers and nonprofit organizations with new entity formation, corporate structuring and restructuring, strategic affiliations, federal tax exemption recognition and compliance, and corporate governance matters.
Not admitted in NY. Admitted in DC, NJ and PA. Practicing under the supervision of NY Bar members.
Previous Work
Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Kate was an associate at a Pennsylvania-based law firm with a robust health care practice. Kate was a member of the firm’s Health Care and Corporate/Transactional practice groups.
