  • February 28 at 9:15 AM ET: Sarah Fitts, IBA ESG conference co-chair, will co-moderate a panel, “Global ESG trends and hot takes – the Brussels effect, the backlash, the view from Africa and more,” alongside Carola Antonini of Chiomenti Studio Legale. The panel will introduce the conference, with a high-level overview of the state of ESG in key jurisdictions around the world.  Panelists will share their perspectives on recent developments and their predictions for coming changes in the ESG landscape in each of their jurisdictions, including Europe, Africa, and various regions of the Americas.
  • February 28 at 11:15 AM ET: Senator Doug Jones will speak on the “ESG, politics, noise and business – helping clients to focus on what is important and to ignore the rest” alongside Shannon Maher Bañaga of FTI Consulting. Together they will cover the political forces supporting and objecting to wider integration of ESG in business, with a particular focus on recent developments in the United States.
  • February 28 at 4:45 PM ET: Angela Santos will co-moderate a panel, “The fashion industry – a practical case study for understanding ESG, with a focus on the supply chain” with Luis Gonzalez Nieves of Perez Correa Gonzalez. With panelists from leading fashion companies and organizations using the fashion industry as a case study, this panel will discuss the practical application of ESG principles in business and its impact on supply chains, including with respect to human rights, trade, environmental matters, and governance issues.  Lawyers advising in any industry will benefit from this discussion led by industry leaders who must navigate ever-changing ESG requirements.
