With experience spanning a diverse range of industries, Mariam manages clients’ legal needs in day-to-day business. She counsels clients in corporate transactions with a focus on licensing, technology, blockchain, e-commerce, and distribution agreements. Her collegiality and collaboration with clients stems from her previous experience working in-house at an international technology and healthcare corporation. Her work has expanded into the crypto and blockchain space, and she guides clients in expanding and exploring opportunities for companies through corporate services and fintech offerings.

Mariam provides ongoing guidance to advertising teams on commercial product and services offerings. She is a member of the firm’s AI, Metaverse & Blockchain Industry Group where she uses her experience with privacy regulations and artificial intelligence tools to broaden client capabilities in technology transactions.

Beyond her work in technology, Mariam also has experience in the advertising, fashion, and supply chain industries. Her practice centers on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements that are integrated into the realities of a business. She acts as outside general counsel for media organizations and retail companies, and she represents clients in agency and sponsorship agreements, services and consulting agreements, and government contracts.

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Mariam worked as corporate counsel for a Fortune 200 company and helped implement multimillion-dollar contracts with public companies and government agencies.

Life Beyond the Law

Outside of the office, Mariam travels over sea, under stone, and around the world in search of good food and an even better book. She can also sing the best acapella version of “Fever” since Peggy Lee.
